The Wairoa Schools Kapa Haka Festival is planned for Thursday 12 November 2026. As this is an outdoor event, weather conditions will be monitored closely.
Weather
Please come prepared for the conditions on the day. We recommend bringing:
- Sun hats and sunscreen
- Water bottles
- Suitable clothing for the weather
- A warm or waterproof layer if conditions are changeable
Schools are responsible for ensuring their students are appropriately prepared for the weather.
Changes to the event
If weather or other circumstances make it unsafe or unsuitable to proceed as planned, Festival organisers may postpone, alter or cancel the event.
Our postponement date is Tuesday 17 November 2026.
